Hollywood Screenwriter Kitty Kavey Continues to Win Awards in 2007
Press release from: Kitty Kavey
PR Agency: MLC PR
(openPR) - Hollywood, CA—(April 17, 2007)— Accomplished screenwriter and director, Kitania “Kitty” Kavey, wins 2nd Runner Up in the “Best Screenplay” category at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for her original screenplay "Shades of Sin." After seven thriving years, the Beverly Hills Film Festival (BHFF) remains an international competition dedicated to demonstrating the works and talents of up-and-coming members of the motion-picture industry.
Although Kavey was competing against numerous screenwriters with far more experience and education, she walked away with the prestigious honor. What makes this unusual is that Kavey is a disabled person with visual impairment and a brain injury. She’s only taken one screenwriting class in her life, and never graduated high school. Kavey has already won six other awards this year. This is truly an amazing achievement.
“All’s I can say is, wow. To be judged by such a terrific jury and to be validated as a screenwriter is a terrific feeling.” says Kavey. “My next goal is to direct Shades of Sin, and I'm actively seeking a producer for that.”

Kavey continues reaching for her goals. She found an incredible niche in the entertainment industry and no one brings more perseverance or talent to a project than Kavey. In addition to the awards received for her newest screenplays, Kavey is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and a producer of the 2006 Sketch Comedy Championship-- live stage competition that sold-out last year. As a brilliant director and screenplay writer in the entertainment industry today, Kavey is actively seeking funding for several of her low-budget projects, slated to begin shooting in 2007-2008.
