Press release from: NetCom Learning

NetCom Learning provides many of the EC-Council certified training classes discussed in the segment as ways businesses can prevent hackers and other cyber attacks

As cyber crime increases, businesses need to be on increased alert about how to protect their technological systems. NetCom Learning partner EC-Council recently discussed the subject of cyber security on CNN and stressed the importance of EC-Council certification courses like the ones offered by NetCom Learning.

The EC-Council is a member-based organization that certifies individuals in cyber security and e-commerce. This certification has become increasingly vital to companies as cyber criminals continue to employ stealthier ways to hack into computer systems. That’s why NetCom Learning is an EC-Council partner offering EC-Council certification courses. On CNN’s The Wolf Blitzer Show on Aug. 3, the EC-Council discussed some of the ways cyber criminals target companies.

On the segment, EC-Council president Jay Bavisi was asked to weigh in on a massive cyber spy incident that targeted agencies and groups in 14 countries. Bavisi explained how one tactic used in the incident, called spear phishing, targets individuals within an organization with an email containing an exploit, a bit of data that takes advantage of software vulnerability. When opened by the unsuspecting individual the exploit will automatically download and install a malware.

NetCom Learning recognizes how important it is for a company to have individuals certified in cyber security and has reaffirmed its commitment as an EC-Council partner, said NetCom Learning Chairman and CEO Russell Sarder.

“Cyber security is a serious issue and one that is constantly evolving. It’s vital for companies to have personnel trained and certified in cyber security so we are pleased to include EC-Council certification programs as part of our top-quality training solutions,” Sarder said.

NetCom Learning’s EC-Council certification classes will immerse the students in an interactive environment where they will be shown how to scan, test, hack and secure their own systems. The lab-intensive environment gives each student in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the current essential security systems. The classes also provide a comprehensive ethical hacking and network security training program to meet the standards of highly skilled security professionals.

NetCom Learning’s EC-Council certification classes include the CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker v7 Boot Camp and the CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker v7 Training. Hundreds of SMEs and authors have contributed toward the content presented in the CEHv7 courseware. The latest tools and exploits uncovered from the underground community are featured in the new package.

NetCom Learning’s EC-Council certification is a third-party validation of skills that can help in professional advancement. It helps organizations identify the credentials that can be used to hire the right employee.
