Press release from: Stevens-Henager College
Salt Lake City, Utah, August 19, 2011 - Stevens-Henager College has recently launched a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with Technology Emphasis program. Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), Stevens-Henager College aims to offer courses that fulfill current market needs and provide students with the knowledge, training, and credentials required to excel professionally in their chosen line of study.
Today we see a greater reliance on technology even for the most basic of functions, and in order to succeed, organizations must keep up with technological advancements. Due to the growing dependence on and symbiosis with technology, businesses are now seeking employees who will be able to bridge the gap between business acumen and technological skills. With the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Technology Emphasis, Stevens-Henager aims to foster graduates who will rise to the challenge and succeed in bridging this gap.
This degree provides students with an integrated, rounded education designed to prepare them to apply technology toward business strategies and functions. The curriculum includes business-related courses such as finance, accounting, business law, management principles, human resources, marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, and investment principles, and technology-related courses such as computer fundamentals, databases, IT administration, network systems, productivity software applications, website management, networking, programming, and technology in marketing. Courses such as psychology, communication, and critical thinking are included to provide graduates with the foundation necessary for success in the business world. Requirements for admission include a high school/secondary school diploma or an equivalent GED® credential.
The duration of this program is 36 months; however, it can be completed in as few as 30 months on Stevens-Henager College’s FastFlex schedule. Successful graduates can pursue careers across all business sectors, in IT-related positions, or opt to pursue a path that requires a combination of both. Possible professions to consider include database administrator, business technology analyst, software engineer, and technical business systems analyst.
