JadoPado.com is Dubai’s newest online store. After four months of a quiet but very much live beta, Dubai’s latest e­‐commerce experience is coming out of the closet. Omar Kassim, the founder and chief coffee drinker describes the initial motivations as “Trying to fix the problem of not having that really great online experience available locally.” while adding that “Great service, great prices coupled with really fast deliveries sounded like an interesting and do-­able business model”.

A not very rigorous process of assessing the problems of online shopping on the back of an envelope towards the tail end of last year has resulted in the creation of Dubai’s newest online experience.

JadoPado’s primary motivation is to prevent customers from visiting a physical store. In order to make this happen, deliveries take place on the basis of three-­‐hour delivery slots through out the day using the firm’s young fleet of delivery vans.

“We’re hoping that customers will be happy with our service. We try to do things at great prices and get them to customers a little quicker than anyone else.” Omar Kassim, JadoPado’s Chief Customer Pleaser outlined.

JadoPado’s only promise is to promise nothing. If its customers turn around in the near future and call it the “Greatest shopping experience ever created” it will be clear that the business is a “great success” and may actually break even unlike other Internet based businesses that have come before it.
