Tokyo Cement Colombo Terminal is one of Sri Lanka's most valuable brands for cement. As manufacturer and global supplier it has an installed capacity of nearly two million tons of cement and a total of 500 employees. Since 2009, Tokyo Cement is using abas Business Software and is supported by local abas software partner “Providence Network & Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.” After Tokyo Cement faced some considerable disadvantages in the cement manufacturing and distribution market, ineffective planning and utilization of its resources caused drawbacks, while their competitors enhanced their business with investing in technological solutions. These issues were identified and a new ERP solution was introduced in order to stay competitive on a global market. Rockworth Systems choses global ERP package
Rockworth Systems Furniture India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Rockworth Public Company Limited, installed abas Business Software in 2009. As a subsidiary of Thailand´s leading manufacturer, distributor and marketer of quality office systems furniture established in 1972, the subsidiary now has more than 200 employees and intents to expand its international network of dealers in 22 countries in order to serve international clients. Local software partner Providence & Abas Integrated Systems supports the producer of fine office systems furniture that benefits from the internationality and the upgradability of the complete integrated ERP solution abas Business Software. The software is available in over 28 languages at present and can be installed in all international branches and offices. Sri Lanka University receives free ERP system from Germany
At Sri Lanka University of Kelaniya, abas ERP is used in order to provide comprehensive training of ERP systems and to “produce well qualified students, familiar with the latest IT and management concepts including ERP”, according to Dr. Julian Nanayakkara, Management Consultant and Senior Lecturer of Industrial Management at the University. “ABAS provides them a path for career advancement and enables them to get familiar with the best ERP, which in turn will do much to enhance the quality of Sri Lanka´s workforce.” ABAS Software AG donated the ERP system to the University of Kelaniya and just recently handed a cheque for $200,000 to the Department of IT of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The donations are part of the company’s Social Corporate Responsibility strategy.
