Internet domain forum will be held in Sofia
A forum on the Internet domains, organized by Association UNINET and Register.bg will be held in Sofia on November 7. Expected are representatives from the top management of ICANN and others, as well as speakers from leading Bulgarian and foreign companies working with domains."Domain forum" is the first event in Bulgaria, dedicated to the ICANN new gTLD program. Visitors are expected from local domain registrars, ISPs, lawyers with focus on intellectual property, Internet users and academics.
Among the key topics are the new gTLD program, the possibilities for a Bulgarian new gTLD application, protection of the intellectual property, non-Latin domains and technologies like IPv6 and DNSSEC.
The event is free to attend, but advance registration is required at http://www.domainforum.bg/en/register The seats are limited.
UNINET is a Bulgarian association of domain registrars, working since 2007 towards creation and introduction of a Internet top-level domain, written with Cyrillic characters.
REGISTER.BG is the organization to which has been delegated the management of the country code top-level domain .bg.
