National Pawn Selected as Finalist in Reader’s Poll

National Pawn was named a finalist in the “Best Jewelry Repair” category of the 2011 Herald-Sun “Reader’s Choice Awards.” The contest, sponsored by the Durham, NC daily newspaper, presented reader’s with picks in more than 100 categories.
"We take it as a compliment when our customers get their jewelry repaired here. They recognize the value we deliver, and I am proud of the service provided by my employees. I am also very proud to receive this recognition from thousands of readers of the Herald-Sun,” said Bob Moulton, owner of National Pawn. "I have made it a priority to improve the image of the pawn industry one customer at a time. This award represents recognition of these efforts by our many loyal customers.”
National Pawn offers free jewelry cleaning and inspection as well as resizing, stone resetting, rhodium plating and other jewelry repair. They have an in-house repair center at their National Fine Jewelers store at 2751 Capital Blvd. in Raleigh that even offers repairs while you wait.
This award is the latest in accolades received by the company. In June, Moulton was named 2011 National Pawnbroker of the Year by of the National Pawnbrokers Association.
In addition to operating eight National Pawn stores in Raleigh, Durham and Wilmington, Moulton believes in giving back to the communities where he does business. He funds many philanthropic efforts -- providing cash donations and electronic entertainment devices to Duke Children’s Hospital, endowing annual scholarships for Triangle students and providing musical instruments to area middle school band programs.
