Manfred Mayer, CEO of ARCOTEL Hotel AG

The ARCOTEL Hotel AG has closed the first half of 2011 with an impressive increase in the assumed results of 51.41 per cent.

Manfred Mayer, CEO of ARCOTEL Hotel AG, announced the half-year results of the Austrian hotel group. With an average occupancy of 73 per cent the nine hotels in Austria, Germany and Croatia have achieved a 6 per cent increase in total revenue. The fact that the assumed results have risen by 50 per cent in comparison with last year confirms the course of action taken by the family-run hotel group.

“Having already managed to achieve positive results at the beginning of the year, the half-year figures have again exceeded our expectations. So far, 2011 has been dedicated to reinforcing our existing structures before we go on to open the ARCOTEL Onyx on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg next year", sole CEO Mayer was pleased to say.

The ARCOTEL corporate group clearly demonstrates that Austrian hospitality and superior service quality combined with international standards are much appreciated by guests. ”One of the reasons for our success is the fact that quality is extremely important to us – not only in terms of service and facilities but also where our choice of staff and decisions on new projects are concerned.”, says Manfred Mayer. “A good location is essential and potential new hotels should fit in with our overall concept. Some cities in eastern Europe as well as the German cities of Frankfurt or Munich would be interesting locations for us."

The average rate in all nine ARCOTEL hotels has increased by EUR 2.88 and the accommodation turnover has grown by 8 per cent.

As one of Austria’s leading players in the tourism sector, the ARCOTEL corporate group dedicates itself to the needs of city and business travellers. It combines the personal and individualistic environment of a family-run enterprise with international standard, top quality and a sound economic base. Founded in 1989, the group currently comprises nine hotels in Austria, Germany and Croatia with a total of 1,563 rooms and currently employs 711 staff. The ARCOTEL Onyx Hamburg is set to open in 2012. www.arcotelhotels.com
