With the goal to improve overall look, feel & functionality, visitors can now expect a more user-friendly and graphical tour experience. This new mobile website serves visitors who carry smartphones and tablets, though OnCell still maintains an accessible and powerful tour experience for all types of mobile phones.

OnCell’s Mobile Web Tour now has a fresh new look, which OnCell hopes will improve the navigation and learning experiences of visitors. New icons point to Search, Maps, More, and Home. The “More” section, added based on user feedback, allows visitors to share tours with friends on Facebook & Twitter. This section also lets visitors leave comments or access important site information. The “Maps” icon points to GPS coordinates and gives users an aerial view of all audio stops, so they can plan their walk or find their next point of interest.

OnCell’s main focus has been to improve individual tour pages, particularly the ability to listen to audio with fewer clicks, so the “play” buttons on the Tour Content List enables visitors to simply click and listen. When visitors click on the Stop Title, or the Image thumbnail accompanying the Stop, they are brought to that Stop’s individual page which holds more Images, Text Captioning, Audio, Video, Multimedia Slideshows and a Star Rating.

Other improvements include quicker refresh times and a site search bar. Visitors can now find any tour published on www.myoncell.mobi by clicking the List of Tours.

Planned in future versions of OnCell’s Mobile Web are more customization options, enhanced content management, a sleek keypad function, sharing via emailing & texting and a publishing manager system.
