Best possible tracking and tracing in the supply chain can be the added value by using RFID. On request by more and more customers the RFID experts from TECTUS Transponder Technology have expanded their RFID TAG product portfolio by adding the new product series of HF TAMPER PROOF Label, available in 3 standard sizes (30 x 30 mm / 30 x 42 mm and 52 x 52 mm).
The benefits of the RFID technology are as generally known that RFID LABELs and TAGs could be read contactless and without line of sight which makes hiding or mounting integrated in an object possible, too. The secret and the security function of the new TAMPER PROOF Label is that there is best bond after gluing on flat surface. If unauthorized persons or criminals try to remove the label the embedded RFID transponder will be destroyed. The RFID TAG shows loss of function. So manipulation and exchange of high value origin goods by cheap counterfeit by removing of simple conventional serial plates which can be glued on to counterfeits or dummies is nearly impossible. If no registered and authorized RFID TAG is in place or a defect damaged RFID TAG is in place only, a strong suspicion occurs. Examples: Con artists change imitations against origins (perfume, cosmetics, jewelry, watches etc.). On construction sites low value drill machines etc. will be left on the building site and the high value machines will be stolen. There are special mount on metal TAMPER PROOF label versions available for mount on metal surface. So the tamper-proof labels could also be used for identification of transport trolleys which are often in use in big quantities on retail indoor markets.
So it can be avoided that good quality origins will not be changed against low quality versions which have only short live time etc. which will generate high cost and damage of transport goods. The additional benefit of the RFID technology is that in parallel with the identification function the logistics and inventory, yearly maintenance control etc. could be improved.
