Critical Software Strengthens Partnership With Banco

Critical Software announces the enhanced of its partnership with BCI - Banco Comercial e de Investimentos - focused at the development of IT systems which support that Mozambican bank institution business activities. The reinforcement of relations between the two companies is exemplified in the extension of the cooperation that affects on-going projects, together with the enlargement of the team that Critical Software has allocated to the development, support and maintenance of BCI’s IT systems in Mozambique.

Fulfilling a strategic plan of consolidating its offering and presence in the Mozambican market, BCI aims to increase the effectiveness in responding to customer needs and improve the Organization’s operational efficiency, ensuring alignment between information systems and business objectives. This strengthening of collaborative position between Critical Software and BCI arises under a contract, for the supply of an important application development.

"Critical Software’s team has allowed BCI to leverage its IT skills and to put IT better serving the business needs, by meeting the imperative that demands to streamline and simplify processes, provide aggregation and control mechanisms and introduce efficiency and productivity gains, both in application development, as well as in its corresponding usage," highlights Rui Garcês, BCI’s IT Director.

Rui Pereira Melo, Critical Software Mozambique's CEO, stresses that "some of BCI's most critical and strategic IT projects have had Critical Software's close collaboration, which leaves us extremely proud by the confidence that was placed in our technical and business expertise. The projects that we have been conducting are always based on an architecture model capable of multi-system integration and of ensuring local capacity of development."

BCI is solidly positioned in the segment of Large / Medium-sized Enterprises and Upscale Private Individuals. Accordingly to the bank’s Strategic Plan of Development, BCI aims to grow and position itself also in the Private segment. This requires the adoption of a more widespread operational model, capable of refining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the retail commercial network.

Rui Garcês stresses that "BCI is growing strongly in terms of agencies, customers and employees, and solidifying its position in the retail segment of the business, with a differentiated product and services offering addressed to each target segment. This, of course requires the IT systems adequacy. The partnership with Critical Software has allowed us to gain muscle and a greater capacity to cope with the growth and new business’ challenges, while allowing us to work our resources’ skills and expertise."
