Agile ALM and Kanban Tool Vendor Digite, Inc. Digite Concludes First Meet-up of DigiConnect 2011

The event brought in thirty of their major customers together in the city dubbed the “Silicon Valley of India”, including Infosys, HCL Technologies, Collabera, Intelli Group, Subex, Sony, Cignex, Comviva, etc.
The event provided a perfect opportunity for Digite customers to meet up and share ideas and best practices around the implementation of Digite Agile ALM suite of tools. Mr. Bala Variyam, Vice President of Collabera, presented a brief case study on the successful implementation and roll-out of Digite Enterprise ALM tool in that organization. Some of the key Digite functionality and features were in the spotlight as part of a comprehensive Agile ALM solution – such as Digite’s native simple scheduler, STaRT,integrated Defect tracking and traceability, Release management and ticket management. Digite’s extensive support to application maintenance projects using concepts such as Work Packages was especially appreciated. Another highlight of the presentation were the many benefits of using Digite to help the company achieve a higher level of process maturity through the use of an online risk repository and the ability of project teams to tailor standard processes to their needs.
Digite VP of Business Development, BM Raghu moderated an panel discussion on the business value and the RoI of an integrated Agile ALM tool. The panel, which included Ms. Geetha Das, AVP at Infosys, Ramanathan Veilumuthu, VP – Delivery at Cignex and Sudipta Lahiri, Sr. VP – Engg and Professional Services at Digite, agreed that an Agile ALM tool such as Digite provides tremendous support for consistent processes across the organization, a key need for global technology companies. The panelists also felt that the value of a tool like this is well understood by CXOs. Some key contributors to enhanced RoI that Agile ALM tools facilitate include enhanced productivity of client managers, a positive impact on external stakeholders due to improved collaboration and visibility; and an overall better environment for project execution.
The Digite team shared company and product information including the launch of its Swift-Kanban tool. It also conducted a short user survey to gather feedback on its product roadmap. The high tea session that followed gave everyone an opportunity to network. Raghu concluded, “We are delighted to meet our customer meet here in the lovely city of Bangalore. This was a great opportunity for us to get valuable feedback from our best clients and for clients to share validate the experience and best practices around implementation of Digite Agile ALM tools and solutions.”
