PI-VR announces VRED 5.5
The new VRED version has been reworked and redesigned to meet and even surpass current requirements regarding handling and functionality for a more immersive user experience.
It features 15% faster render performance, cluster stereo raytracing and region rendering. Furthermore it includes new HDR and environment presets as well as new and elaborated texturing tools. This leap in technology will accelerate key aspects of daily workflows and enable engineers and CGI artists to focus on their work.
The VRED 5.5 product line combines time-saving workflow and productivity features like the new interface with outstanding new features and will thus push daily processing activities. Whatever the task, with VRED 5.5 it will be easy to deliver excellent work – a must-have for ambitious and expectant users.

Since 2008, the PI-VR GmbH enterprise develops innovative software solutions for 3D-realtime visualisation and virtual prototyping. The software VRED is used in many application areas in design, virtual product photography and many fields of engineering and marketing communications. The software’s easy handling helps to create high-quality computer generated images and photorealistic pictures. PI-VR’s products enable noticeable process optimisations and thus assure the development of quality ensured product developments.
Due to the special themes, PI-VR combines profound knowledge in the area of CAD-data processes in the field of engineering with extensive competence in high-end-3D visualisation. Principally, the enterprise attaches great importance to a close collaboration with its clients regarding the further development of its software products and offers customized software solutions if required. PI-VR’s service-portfolio includes an individualized client-support as well as trainings and project-specific consulting. All software products are in-house developments.
PI-VR is established in the world market as a leading 3D software supplier and at the time has a staff of 15 employees at two locations. It is owner-managed and completely privately financed. The PI-VR’s clients mainly come from the automotive industry and its suppliers as well as from the sectors of photography and virtual product visualisation.
