First iPad Signing App for Business Professionals - signdocmobile.com

First iPad Signing App for Business Professionals - signdocmobile.com

Opportunities for Apple’s iPad and other tablets in the business world are becoming more and more versatile. Until recently, tablets were mostly used for showcasing products, but they are capable of more. For example, it is now possible to display and fill out electronic documents on tablets. At the DMS EXPO in Stuttgart from the September 20-22, SOFPTRO will introduce the building block that completes the process – a robust software solution for E-Signing on iPad & Co. devices.

With SignDoc Mobile (www.signdocmobile.com), signatures can be captured and shown realistically on the tablet screen, and saved securely in an electronic document, allowing for a truly, entirely paperless workflow. One of the world’s largest insurance companies is set to integrate SignDoc Mobile in August 2011.

The first version of SignDoc Mobile will be compatible with iOS and Android operating systems. SignDoc Mobile is especially equipped to optimize the viewing of electronic documents on tablets. With just one click on the signature field, signature capture has begun. The interface for preparing and delivering documents, as well as for launching the signature capture module, are both easily integrated in a few simple steps through your device’s App or Web portal.

SignDoc Mobile is based on SignDoc Web, a multifaceted Platform for E-Signing. SignDoc Web was the first signature solution to be certified by the German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) for outstanding security and user-friendliness. Softpro customers process hundreds of thousands of signatures every week - securely and efficiently.

Handwritten Signatures Integrated Safely into the Digital Workflow

Many measures are taken assure that signatures captured and processed by SignDoc Mobile are trustworthy. When a signature is captured, the biometric characteristics of the signer’s handwriting, such as speed and writing pressure, are also recorded. The signature data are encrypted and saved along with the document’s content. A timestamp is also recorded at the time of signature, as well as an Integrity value, which allows for the tracking of any manipulation of the document after it has been signed.

Only the data needed for filling a form and the signing it are retrieved from the system at the time of signature. The document itself remains in the secure server until its finalization, after which the completed PDF document can be downloaded from the Web server, further processed, and/or sent to its next destination.

Easy Integrity Check

Verifying a document in question signed with SignDoc mobile is easy as SignDoc Mobile is compliant to several important industry standards. The signatures are saved as X.509 / PKCS #7-Objects within the document. The document itself (signatures and all) is saved in a PDF format that complies with Standard ISO 32000-1:2008 / Adobe PDF 1.7.

Those who fear that a document might have been manipulated after the date of signature, may use the widely-available Adobe Reader or another PDF viewing program to perform a validation test. If SignDoc is used in combination with a reference signature databank, such as SignArchive, verification of the signer’s identity can be performed automatically.

Comprehensive Experience with Tablets

Long before iPads were widely used, Softpro was already inspiring customer interest in Tablet solutions. Since 2002, Softpro has been developing E-Signing software for mobile devices, and in 2004, Softpro’s SignDoc won many competitions for its applications on Windows Tablet PCs.

Softpro’s employees take various types of tablets into account in their day to day work. All together, our employees have over 250 years experience with Tablets.

Free Entrance to Exposition

Along with SignDoc Mobile, Softpro will showcase their entire product line of electronic signature solutions at the DMS EXPO, at Stand A58 in Hall 7. Whoever would like to visit the Softpro experts at the fair can receive a free entry code before September 15th, via Email to info@softpro.de with the subject line “DMS EXPO: Entrance.”
