(openPR) - Specialising in economical solutions for individual keypad designs, Mentor has developed patented illuminated plungers for use in short stroke pushbuttons. This low cost plunger series is ideal for all applications that do not require full face key illumination.

Two plunger variants are available: an illuminated plunger with up to four illuminated points when combined with chip LEDs, and a variant for dedicated keypad applications without illumination.

The plungers can be combined with pushbuttons from the Mentor 1254 series or other makes. Featuring a modular design, the plungers can also be freely combined with the familiar pushbutton caps for full face or point illumination as well as the signal indicators from the Mentor keypad component series, providing all of the options needed for complete individual solutions.

The plungers are available in the two familiar sizes 15 x 15 mm and 19 x 19 mm and in the two heights 12.5 mm and 9.7 mm. The integrated twist lock enhances the reliability of automated installation.
