ForAccess.com Adds Internet Safety Expert Richard Shuster to Advisory Board
Press release from: ForAccess.com
(openPR) - SAN ANTONIO, TX -- The ForAccess.com Advisory Board is pleased to welcome Richard Shuster of ShusterSolutions.com as part of our team. Shuster is a multi-talented individual with a passion for protecting consumers, and more specifically, safeguarding children.
Shuster educates parents and schools about the ways they can protect their children from harmful Internet content. He has extensive experience in the IT field, and offers a software program that allows parents to monitor their children’s activity on the Internet. In conjunction with his speaking engagements, Shuster is pursuing a master’s degree in psychotherapy.
Shuster said, “I've known about ForAccess.com for a number of years. I'm delighted to see that the vision for the site has come to fruition and so many people are able to benefit from it. In essence, ShusterSolutions.com and ForAccess.com share the same mission. We both strive to help families. While we do so through different means, it is rewarding to be a part of something that is so synergistic and truly makes a difference.”
ForAccess.com is a consumer advocacy website dedicated to helping consumers make an informed decision prior to hiring professionals such as counselors, realtors, physicians, and many others. Similarly, ForAccess provides a full-range of marketing and advertising services for its professional members, including blogs, podcasts, and virtual exhibits.
Shuster has some recommendations for consumers and professionals regarding the type of information accessible on the web. First, he said, the Internet is dynamic and it evolves before laws can be put into place to protect consumers. “There are websites that will confer a title of doctor, and people are using these sites to take advantage of the general public,” said Shuster. He reminds people that websites exist without geographical borders. “This makes it very difficult to enforce regulations on someone on the other side of the planet. Consumers need to exercise caution and do research as much as possible for their own protection,” cautioned Shuster.
Jeanne Fuller, President of ForAccess.com, said, “Richard’s years of experience with the Internet and his knowledge of online security is a great asset for ForAccess and its members. We are delighted to have him on our Advisory Board, and look forward to the insight he will provide.”
