More than 200 Participants Take Part in Largest-Ever Amdocs Asia Pacific InTouch Business Forum in Singapore for Customers and Partnersacross the Region

(openPR) - Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, held its Asia PacificInTouch Business Forum 2011at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia,just over a week ago. Nearly 150senior executives from Asia Pacific service providers attended the event which focused on strategies for driving growth in the connected world.
Addressing the forum’s opening session,Eli Gelman, president and chief executive officer of Amdocs Management Limited,said that the future presentedservice providers the opportunity to capitalize on new business models such as value-based pricing for content. He pointed out that service providers neededto transform in order to overcome the dual challenges of today’s exponential explosion of datausage and the fragmented customer experience.
Other plenary sessions included a presentation on personalizing the digital television experienceand a customer case study analyzing the strategic role of operationalsupport systems in LTE deployments.
Alongside an interactivepanel discussing how service providers can use innovation to monetize new markets, guests at the event also had the opportunity to meet with a number of Amdocs Open Innovation startup partners and view some of the latest and most innovative technology available to Amdocs customers.
Recognizing regional market leadership and business momentum
During the forum, Amdocs announced it had recently won the prestigious Frost & Sullivan BSS Vendor of the Year in Asia Pacific award for the second consecutive year.
Amdocs also announced it had been ranked among the top 10 outsourcing service providers in Southeast Asia, and climbed to 11th place overall in the 2011 International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® list of the top 100 managed services vendors worldwide in all industries. Amdocs signed new managed services agreements with service providers last year to support nearly 200 million additional subscribers across North America, Europe and Asia. Of these agreements, four were in Asia.
Commitment to local communities
Amdocs continues to contribute to local communities in Asia Pacific as part of the company’s ongoing global community relations program, focusing on educational and healthcare opportunities for children at risk. Current initiatives include sponsorship of yearly tuition fees, grocery supply, medical camps and facility rentals for students in a residential home in Annapurna,India and collaborating with the La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, to build a sustainable after-hours class where children will learn software development and build software to support not-for-profit organizations.
