(openPR) - 24th June 2011, Bhubaneswar: People from Mindfire Solutions attended the Leadership Training for Software Professionals program, held at IIM, Bangalore from 20th June to 22nd June this year. This program focused on highlighting and enhancing the interpersonal behavior, team building spirit, managerial effectiveness and leadership style of the participants.

Employees from both the development centers, viz New Delhi and Bhubaneswar participated. They were Asish Tripathy, Debasish Sabat, Rupesh Nayak, Atul Aggarwal and Narayana Sultania. Developers along with their technical skills, also needs to have the leadership traits and management skills in order to handle and guide a bunch of people. This training program focused on motivating and empowering the participants to explore their leadership style and helped them acquire skills in managing projects, managing knowledge workers in software service organizations and attracting & retaining the best of the talents.

The program showcased various informative sessions on Human and Organizational behavior that were addressed by eminent speakers from the industry. Some of the topics covered were Concept of Personal Growth for Software Professionals, Interpersonal Relations, Emotional Intelligence & Diversity Management, Motivating and Managing Software Professionals, Leadership Issues and Challenges in Project Management, Managing and being in Virtual Teams, Documentation and Knowledge Management. The main aim of the program was to enhance competency in the critical thinking process of an individual, decision making ability and communication in the global business environment. Asish Tripathy, one of the participants commented that "This training program helped me a lot. Being a software developer, I was only concentrating in coding and the technical aspect but after attending this program it made me aware of my management skills, leadership qualities, effective team building and group decision making skills.
