Press release from: Onepoint Software GmbH
PR Agency: campaignery
(openPR) - New version Onepoint Project 10.3 Group/Enterprise Server released today.
Graz, July 6, 2011 – Onepoint Software, the leading provider of integrated project and portfolio management (PPM) software, has released its newest version of Onepoint Project Group/Enterprise Server today. Across industries Onepoint Project is known as one of the most easy to use PPM solutions with a solid feature set ranging from agile and formal project planning over monitoring and controlling to extensive reporting functions. The new release 10.3 is particularly focused on JIRA and resource management improvements. An update to the cloud versions (SaaS) is planned for the next couple of weeks.
Onepoint Project 10.3 ships with a new version of the JIRA Connector Option that allows synchronizing both JIRA projects and product backlogs to Onepoint’s central project repository. New features include real-time synchronization of JIRA time tracking information and resource estimates as well as improvements to how synced JIRA projects can be used within Onepoint programs. Specifically, the levels of so-called “public” activities in JIRA sub-projects can now be easily configured. Thus the user can easily control the granularity of JIRA information visible in master projects. Concrete applications of this new feature include agile roadmap planning and general program management for JIRA projects.
Onepoint’s built-in resource management is the second core area of improvements in the new version. Unlike other PPM solutions, Onepoint Project integrates resource planning and utilization monitoring very tightly with the central project database. The new release adds resource-forecasting capabilities in the form of a new histogram chart based on planned resource utilization and project probabilities. In addition, a new function simplifies taking over effort forecast values into new project plan versions.
“Onepoint is already known as one of the most integrated project management solutions on the market,” said Gerald Aquila, founder and CEO of Onepoint. “With the new improvements around our JIRA Connector and our integrated resource management capabilities we are again expanding our leadership position.”
Onepoint Project is available both as an OnDemand/SaaS subscription model and for in-house/on premise installation. Interested parties can experience the advantages of integrated agile and formal project management firsthand by requesting a free 30-day trial version via the Onepoint website (www.onepoint-project.com).
