Crafty Devil Welcomes Jimmy Spratt, MLA

Press release from: Devilicious T/A Crafty Devil
(openPR) - DUP MLA for South Belfast, Jimmy Spratt, recently dropped in to meet with Newtownbreda-based web application developers Crafty Devil.

The Beechill Road business specialises in the development of web-based process and workflow management software, helping organisations to improve productivity and reduce costs. Despite the economically challenging conditions which characterize the current business environment, Crafty Devil continues to grow – significantly increasing both revenue and employment numbers.

Speaking at Crafty Devil’s office at Springboard Business Centre, Jimmy said, “Small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) are the lifeblood of the Northern Ireland economy. In South Belfast, we’re fortunate to have a number of locally owned, fast growing, world-class businesses generating added-value employment opportunities across the constituency.

“It was useful to meet with the Crafty Devil team, to learn more about their business and better understand how government and the public sector can assist SMEs in developing their business in Northern Ireland, throughout the UK and facilitate expansion into overseas markets.“

Phil Norton, Director, Crafty Devil said, “We were delighted to welcome Jimmy to Crafty Devil. It provided a useful opportunity to raise issues of importance not only to us, but also to many other SMEs throughout Northern Ireland.

“We discussed with Jimmy a number of matters, which we believe are central to developing the private sector in the province. These included proposed changes to corporation tax, the review of public administration in the province and public sector procurement policy.

“It was reassuring to hear these issues are high on the political agenda, as Northern Ireland seeks to reduce its dependence upon the public sector and develop a strong, robust and vibrant private sector economic base.”
