Exeter, Devon -- April 10th 2007 -- Teak-Root.co.uk is a website developed by Worldwide Trading to showcase our exciting range of furniture created entirely from recycled and reclaimed teak roots. The teak root furniture range has been expanded in recent years to include benches, garden tables and chairs and shelves.

Worldwide Trading is a wholesale import company established is 2002 with an aim to import distinctive furniture of an unusually high quality. As a fair-trade company we strive to improve the working conditions and lives of all our workers around the globe. Whenever possible we use recycled, reclaimed our otherwise discarded timber in the construction of our furniture to lessen the impact we have on the environment. New timbers if ever needed are sourced only from environmentally sound managed plantations where more trees are planted than cut down.

Teak Roots are an environmentally sound material for furniture construction that has historically been discarded or burned. We have recycled what was once a waste material to create a stunning range of furniture with a distinctive style to give each piece of furniture unique characteristics.

Teak Root Garden Furniture Sets are created from carefully selected teak roots and slices of teak trees. Each teak root garden furniture set comprises a two seater bench, two arm chairs and a coffee table. Teak root garden furniture sets come in a naturally rustic or a highly polished finish.

Teak Root Benches are created from unusually shaped off cuts of teak that would otherwise be discarded, a by-product of traditional teak furniture construction. By adding root teak legs, also made from discarded materials, we have created an unusual range of garden and patio benches available in one, two and three seater varieties.

Teak Root Shelves are created by merging a teak tree trunk or branch with teak slithers to create rugged rustic items of unusual character, beauty and purity. Teak root shelves are a distinctive item designed for use in a home, conservatory and, if treated with varnish or a wood preserver outside in a garden or on a patio. Teak root shelving is available in a variety of sizes.
