(June 27, 2011) – Leading radio frequency identification (RFID) software provider epcSolutions, Inc., was named a finalist for the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) Association’s 14th Annual Collaborative Commerce Achievement Awards. Kevin Kail, President and CEO, and David Russell, Vice President of Operations, represented epcSolutions at the awards ceremony, in conjunction with the annual VICS Board of Director’s dinner June 1, 2011, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Fla.

The VICS Collaborative Commerce Achievement Awards honor outstanding companies for their strategic thinking and leadership and for their implementation of VICS and GS1 Standards that have resulted in more effective supply chain initiatives. epcSolutions was nominated by GS1 Canada in the Best Third-Party Technology Provider category. GS1 Canada highlighted epcSolutions’ implementations that led to cost-effective supply chain systems, often resulting in standards setting practices, and ultimately resulting in supply chain improvements. Winners of the awards were decided by vote of the VICS Board of Directors, which include many of the retail and consumer products goods industries’ top leaders.
