(openPR) - HOUSTON – Fourteen attorneys from Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, representing six practice areas, have been named to H Texas magazine’s 2011 Houston’s Top Lawyers list. The full peer-selected list appears in the current issue of the magazine.

The Gardere attorneys and the practice areas for which they were honored are:

Commercial litigation partners Michael Cash, Jeff Davis, Amy Dinn, Peter Scaff, Samantha Trahan and T. Michael Wall; white collar criminal defense partners Tom Hagemann and Marla Poirot; labor and employment partners Neil Martin and Rachel Steely; merger and acquisitions partners Frank Putman and Tim Spear; bankruptcy and workout Of Counsel Bob Blanc; and energy and natural resources associate Felisa Sanchez.

To compile the list of the city’s top lawyers, H Texas solicited nominations from more than 2,000 Houston-area attorneys, as well as legal clients and the magazine’s subscribers. Voters were required to nominate only those attorneys whose work they know first-hand, including firm colleagues, co-counsel, lawyers they had observed in court and opposing counsel. An outside firm tabulated the ballots and an executive panel finalized the list.
