Press release from: Quantix

/ PR Agency: Quantix
Nottingham, United Kingdom (26 May 2011) – Quantix, the UK’s premier provider of Managed Cloud Services, complex Application Managed Services and Infrastructure Solutions for Enterprises and Independent Software Vendors, release a guide detailing app-to-cloud transition considerations.

According to the latest research conducted by MarketBridge, 44% of companies are already using at least one cloud-based application somewhere within their organisation - and over 70% have plans to move more applications into the cloud over the next 12 months. In light of these findings, Quantix has released a guide detailing the ten things they believe organisations need to consider when moving their applications to the Cloud.

The guide includes questions organisations will need to ask themselves, as well as those which should be posed to potential applications hosting providers; including a self-assessment of what an organisation hopes to achieve, whether it is an option to outsource their application management, and how, exactly, a hosting provider can help them to move their applications to the Cloud.

“We hope that the ten questions featured in this guide will help prospective clients to make an informed judgement about their options for moving applications into the cloud,” commented Andrew Slater, Director of Cloud Services at Quantix. “We have highlighted some of the key factors that could help ensure that businesses are able to realise the full potential of cloud-based applications, and trust that these will assist organisations in making the app-to-cloud transition a seamless one.”
