The PT-EX16KE and PT-VX400E Series Products Mark the First Line of Panasonic and Sanyo Collaboration In the Projector Business

Wiesbaden, Germany June 15, 2011 – Panasonic Europe, today announced the PT-EX16KE and PT-VX400E Series projectors, the first line of projectors developed in collaboration with Sanyo. Panasonic has established a close working relationship with Sanyo to further its market leader position*1 in the projector industry. With integration of innovative technologies from both sides and expanding product line up, Panasonic aims to deliver the market with products that better meet customers’ versatile needs.

The PT-EX16KE LCD projector features 16,000 lumens of brightness XGA resolution, is added to the large venue lineup for houses of worship, midsized rental and staging and customers seeking large venue projection images for moderate use. The product is equipped with a quad lamp technology and encased in a ruggedised shell for high reliability and durability. In addition, its unique light filtering technology recognises high color purity to deliver vivid images.

The PT-VX400E Series is available in three different models, PT-VW330E (3,000lm, WXGA resolution), PT-VX400E (4,000lm, XGA resolution) and PT-VX400NTE (4,000lm, XGA resolution, network ready). They will be added to Panasonic’s portable projector portfolio targeted at for the education market and those seeking a portable, eco-friendly high brightness projector. The projector utilizes an intelligent lamp drive system that significantly reduces power consumption depending on the projected image.

In addition, the VX400E Series projectors come equipped with an Easy Setting feature*2 that allows for automatic keystone correction with a use of built-in camera sensor and wireless projection capability in conjunction with the optional Easy Wireless Stick*2. For iOS devices such as iPad, simple and easy wireless presentation is made possible by the free Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS application.

The PT-EX16KE and PT-VX400E range will be on display at InfoComm 2011 and available in Europe in September 2011. However, the PT-VX400NTE will be available in December 2011.
