(openPR) - YASH to Support India's UID Initiative, Aadhaar and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited

Indore, India (June 13, 2011) – YASH Technologies, a leading technology services and outsourcing partner for global companies, today announced that it has been selected as both a software solution provider and complete end-to-end solution provider by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for its Unique Identity (UID) initiative, Aadhaar.
UIDAI issued the first UID number in September 2010 with a long-term plan to enroll 600 million residents in the next five years. To accelerate the rollout, the numbers will be issued through various registrar agencies across the country. YASH will present on unreserved railway ticketing UID integration on June 14th, 2011 at a workshop for engagement of Consultants and Software Solution Providers from the empanelled list of UIDAI at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. More than 100 government officials and stakeholders will attend to discuss approaches for integration of Aadhaar and processes involved in various scenarios.

In addition, YASH will begin a software development project for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, the premier organization of the Government of India, to include the integration of Planning & Management System (PMS), Materials Management (MM) and Finance department via a web-based enterprise wide solution.
