AVB Audio and Video Interoperability Demo at InfoComm 2011

Düsseldorf/Orlando, July 2011. The German software and network specialist UMAN enhances its efforts for interoperability of AVB compliant hardware solutions. At this year’s infoComm an AVB compliant multi platform, audio/video network is managed through a single coherent and platform independent software environment: UNOS Core – the embedded part of the netOS UNOS - is ported to LAB X, XMOS and Marvell based hardware. Graphical user interfaces are realized by the platform independent UNOS Creator/UNOS Vision solution.
The system on display at the AVnu Pavilion 383b not only manages AVB audio end nodes from XMOS but also AVB video solutions based on Marvell chipsets and furthermore one of the first available AVB bridges, Titanium 411 from US AVB specialist LAB X. All parameters from end nodes and AVB bridges can be graphically visualized and managed on PC, Mac and iPad by UNOS Vision. HD Video content is played out by a PC utilizing UNOS Creator. UNOS provides an abstraction to the various AVB standards and is compliant to current and future IEEE 1722.1 definitions and standards.
