NORCROSS, GEORGIA, USA / TAIPEI, TAIWAN - American Megatrends Incorporated (AMI), a leader in BIOS and computing innovations, is pleased to announce its participation at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011 in Taipei, Taiwan, from May 31 through June 4, 2011. AMI will be located in booth number M1309a of the Nangang Exhibition Hall of the Taipei World Trade Center for the duration of the COMPUTEX TAIPEI event.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI is the largest computer exhibition in Asia and the second largest of its kind in the world, next to CeBIT in Germany. Every year, the event draws observers, analysts, and computer and IT journalists from all over the world - to discover and report the latest technologies, developments, and trends introduced at the exhibition.

At the 2011 edition of COMPUTEX TAIPEI, AMI will once again showcase an array of key AMI products, including updates to Aptio® UEFI BIOS firmware – including new developments in Aptio® FastBoot™ and Aptio® POINT™ touch panel BIOS configuration - along with a number of recent innovations in MegaRAC® Remote and Server Management products, with the powerful MegaRAC® XMS Management Console as a key highlight. AMI will also focus on recent improvements to AMI’s diagnostic and debug utilities for UEFI - including AMIDebug™ for UEFI and AMIDiag™ for UEFI - and more. AMIDebug™ for UEFI offers complete source-level debugging for Aptio®, Tiano™ and UEFI applications, while AMIDiag™ for UEFI represents the only true diagnostics suite currently available for UEFI implementations.

AMI’s exhibit will demonstrate how customers can go beyond BIOS using Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) technology and the industry-leading Aptio® BIOS to reduce time-to-market (TTM) for desktop, server, notebook, ultra-mobile and embedded projects and add value through modules like Aptio® FastBoot™ and Aptio® POINT™. Aptio® FastBoot™ offers possible sub-second boot times thanks to a wealth of boot optimization techniques.

“AMI is proud to once again have the opportunity to showcase its Aptio UEFI BIOS, MegaRAC Remote and Server Management products and our diagnostic and debug solutions on the prominent stage that COMPUTEX TAIPEI provides. COMPUTEX TAIPEI is the preeminent computer exhibition in the region and AMI’s presence at this noted event underscores our commitment and respect for East Asia as both a manufacturing hub and rapidly expanding market. AMI is keen on maintaining our leadership position in providing cutting-edge BIOS, remote management solutions and diagnostic products for this market,” said S. Shankar, President and CEO of American Megatrends.

American Megatrends would like to warmly welcome its customers, partners and media representatives to COMPUTEX TAIPEI and the AMI exhibit space in booth number M1309a of the Nangang Exhibition Hall for demonstrations and detailed product information on the complete family of quality AMI technology solutions.
