Turning clients into friends: HaCon goes Facebook
Press release from: HaCon Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH
(openPR) - Hannover (2011-05-30). A few weeks ago the fan page of the software specialist went online and now is multiplying the number of those pushing the “like” button.
With being present on Facebook clients and friends are offered the possibility to become a fan of the software developer and get in active exchange with the HaCon team. HaCon regularly posts news from the company and on the subject of journey planning and public transport. To be found on www.facebook.com/HaConTimetable are links to product films, press releases, software solutions and events organised by HaCon. Interested people are also invited to take a closer look on the fascinating topic of mobility.
“We receive feedback on our activities, products and solutions right away”, Michael Frankenberg, HaCon Managing Director, is pleased. “It’s not only about spreading information on the subject but the visit of the HaCon fan page should also be fun and encourage to join in.”
Among the favourites of visitors are the adventures of the HaCon duck all over the world which users can follow through pictures taken by clients and staff. “Make the duck a world traveller” invites every fan to contribute their own little HaCon duck story. Via the “wall” users have the possibility to directly get in touch with the company. They are invited to comment on posts, make recommendations and actually “shape” the fan page with their own input. After the HAFAS User Conference earlier this year participants were asked to vote if the HaCon bobby train should be brought into action again in upcoming client events. “Therefore Facebook is the ideal platform to give our company a unique face and make it more personal”, says Michael Frankenberg.
Every third person in Germany uses Facebook, nearly 800 million participants worldwide join the social network. Social media sites are therefore the most frequently visited web pages and offer companies a large forum of communication with existing and potential clients. Not only in the end user business but also in communication like B2B (business to business) the importance of social media like Facebook, Twitter, Xing and co grows continuously. “It won’t be long until you can follow our tweets as well”, promises the HaCon-Management.
