SALZBURGERLAND AUSTRIA READY TO HOST TTR THREE(3)STAR ABSOLUT PARK SPRING FESTIVAL

(openPR) - Innsbruck, Austria. The fourth Austrian TTR World Snowboard Tour event this month kicks off at Flachauwinkl, Salzburger Land at TTR THREE(3)STAR Absolut Park Spring Battle Slopestyle contest, 31st March- 1st April, 07.
The Absolut Park Spring Battle qualifications and finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday 31st March, as an invited group of male riders join the qualifiers from Austrian ‘friends’ events’ and the open amateurs’ heats. The Slopestyle set-up consists of kicker, wallride, slide-box and surprise end obstacle. 550 TTR Ranking Points and 6,000euro prize purse are up for grabs.
Top name riders support a strong local contingent including Andreas ‘Mone’ Monsberger (AUT) and Friedl Kolar (AUT); Scandinavian talent Staale Sandbeck (NOR), Aleksi Vanninen (FIN) & Danny Larsen (NOR); Polish brothers Michal & Mateusz Ligocki (POL), Belgian’s Seppe Smits (BEL), Germany’s Lars Oesterle (GER) & Eastern European Tadej Valentan (SLO). Looking to make a difference to the TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch is highest ranked Austrian rider, Wolle Beer (AUT). Currently TTR World Nr 33 a win would see him move up the ranking list to World Nr 28. A win for Ville Uotila (FIN), currently World Nr 49, could move him to 31st position on the current TTR Ranking List.
Post-crowning the TTR Tour Champions, the calendar continues through to the end of April 2007. All TTR contests attended until then will provide riders with TTR Ranking Points for the 06/07 TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch to add to their overall ranking score until May 01st, 2007.

Events are rated via a 1-through-6 Star system, with points allocated accordingly, a 6 Star event holding the highest. Any rider participating in these events, from up-and-coming to professional, will earn TTR Ranking Points and a position on the TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch. The top male and female rider is crowned Ticket To Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour Champion.
