Intact Extends its Onepoint Project-based IPMA Project Management Solution

Central PM solution implements the project handbook complete with a controlling cycle and standard reports.

Graz, May 25, 2011 – Onepoint Software, the leading provider of integrated project and portfolio management (PPM) software, announced that Intact Consult GmbH is extending its IPMA-compliant, Onepoint-based project management solution. Intact has used Onepoint Project Enterprise Server productively for more than one year for all customer-facing projects and will now deploy the PM solution also in other strategic areas of their project organization. Intact is a vendor of software and consulting services in the areas of certification and audit management traceability and commodity safety.

In cooperation with an external PM consultancy firm, Intact Consult had created project management guidelines that were mainly based on the IPMA standard. Subsequently these project guidelines were digitally implemented and refined using Onepoint Project. In parallel, Intact could already use Onepoint in day-to-day project management tasks. Today the whole project management office uses Onepoint. Even the management board directly accesses the project pipeline and other overviews in order to get up-to-date information about the overall status across all current projects.
Intact makes heavy use of Onepoint’s interactive work breakdown structure (WBS) for planning and also specifies in detail the most sensitive areas of the IPMA project context including goals and deliverables. Projects are formally signed off based on document-style project order reports that can be easily printed from the live data. The checklist tool, the controlling sheets including the milestone trend analysis as well as the project progress reports are used for IPMA-compliant project controlling and for communicating the project progress to both customers and the management. Next steps include a tighter integration with Intact’s time tracking system and the idea of managing change requests more formally in Onepoint Project.
