Press release from: PublishAmerica
(openPR) - Frederick, MD March 23, 2007-- PublishAmerica is proud to present Getting to Mommy by Diane Shilling of New York, New York. Getting to Mommy is a reconstructed diary of people, places and events, beginning with a later-in-life marriage and an inability to conceive a child at first. Then, after coming to terms with the possibility of never becoming a parent, beating incredible odds and giving birth to a daughter at the age of forty-three. Getting to Mommy deals primarily with the reactions and reflections of the author and others to situations which are both conventional and yet, at the same time, extraordinary.
Diane Shilling is a graduate of Smith College and has a master’s degree in theater from New York University. She teaches writing and theater to children in New York City, where she lives with her husband and two children.
PublishAmerica is the home of 20,000 talented authors. PublishAmerica is a traditional publishing company whose primary goal is to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers. Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties, makes its books available in both the United States and Europe through all bookstores, and never charges any fees for its services. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.
