Herzogenaurach, 04/28/2011 – WeWebU Software AG, a manufacturer of standard software for Enterprise Information Management (EIM), has won one of the annual Alfresco Partner Awards. WeWebU OpenWorkdesk is Alfresco EMEA Solution of the Year.

WeWebU has been picked out of a group of over 250 global value-added resellers, system integrators and original equipment manufacturers. The criteria for the Partner Awards were threefold as partners had to monetarily display new business momentum, show the quality of the Alfresco implementation as well as the innovative nature of their work.

Christian Thiede, Director Sales D-A-CH at Alfresco, congratulates: “It is awesome that WeWebU has won this award despite they have been an Alfresco partner for only a short time. That is a great compliment for their outstanding solution. In no time, they have established a very good standing in the Alfresco community and help us to achieve our ambitious growth targets by adding truly complementary products to our offering.”

The awarded WeWebU OpenWorkdesk, a suite of applications for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) with an intuitive Web 2.0 front-end, enables even users who do not have any ECM system experience to use state-of-the-art ECM functionalities with minimal training. Combining it with Alfresco’s open source ECM platform solves the contradiction between user-friendly, efficient ECM applications and a manageable ECM budget.

Stefan Waldhauser, CEO of WeWebU, states proudly: “It is a great honor for us to receive this award. We also see it as a thank-you to our efforts in promoting open standards and open source software. All our products now support CMIS (Content Management Interoperability Services), the open standard for document access, and therefore seamlessly integrate with Alfresco ECM.”

Winning the Alfresco award reinforces WeWebU in its open source strategy. It is another step on their way to providing a comprehensive application suite for a unified Enterprise Information Management.
