Today the Second Annual Youth TakeOver Festival announced their official partnership with SFK-Success For Kids, Inc., who will be one of the main beneficiaries of the Second Annual Youth TakeOver Festival, taking place on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Los Angeles Center Studios located at 500 S. Beaudry Street in downtown Los Angeles. This outdoor festival invites families to hang out and enjoy a variety of attractions including food, games, live music, vendors, a fashion show, a $500 grand prize poetry slam contest, a $1000 grand prize dance contest and an incredible concert line-up with surprise celebrity appearances as well as educational and informational booths.

The SoCal Youth Takeover Festivalwas developed as a charity fundraiser to support local youth initiatives with a community event focused on them, while raising funds to benefit several youth based non-profits. The Second Annual Youth TakeOver Festival has partnered with SFK because we believein the empowering, life-changing programs that SFK offers and support their efforts to help children develop a better sense of purpose in their lives. SFK has touched thousands of young lives with its commitment tohelping children reach their full potential through innovative research-based programs strengthening interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills and self-sufficiency. By building personal strength at a young age, SFKgives children the tools to successfully self-manage and prevent adverse behaviors later in life. Highlighting this charity organization and introducing the services they offer to our community will only enhance the development and education of our youth by giving them new tools and resources to become stable, productive, independent young adults.

The Second Annual Youth TakeOver Festival is a unique community event produced by our youth under the guidance of experienced professionals. Loose Ends believes the best teacher is hands-on experience and we try to integrate education and fun throughout our advanced mentoring program. Education through proper guidance and mentoring can elevate the learning and teaching experience through all aspects of the event production process.
