SEO.co.uk Comment on Heavy YouTube Investment

Press release from: SEO.co.uk
PR Agency: SEO.co.uk
Cheshire, United Kingdom (April 13, 2011) - SEO .co .uk, who have been providing leading organic search engine optimization services across the United Kingdom since 1999, comment on the future of YouTube after reports surfaced that Google was ready to pump $100million worth of investment into the world's second largest search engine.

The Wall Street Journal recently claimed that Google was ready to make a large commitment to YouTube, to invest in original content and channels to help attract more high-quality advertising revenue and help to give it a broader dimension. YouTube, despite its size, is viewed by many as a site predominantly filled with user-generated content.

According to the publication, YouTube will have up to twenty new specialist channels populated with their own unique content. A Google spokesperson recently said of the move: We're always updating the look and feel of YouTube. Any changes in YouTube's design would involve lots of research and would be rolled out slowly, over time to ensure the best possible user experience."

"Sources have claimed that Google have approached a number of Hollywood executives, trying to find low-budget options to create their original programming," commented a spokesperson for SEO.co.uk. "It'd be interesting to see just how the expected £100million of investment is divided across these channels - which ones YouTube regards with the most importance and which will snare then that key quality revenue. That advertising revenue seems to be vital to YouTube's long-term growth and future, and it'll be interesting to see how they execute their new strategy if these rumours carry weight."
