(openPR) - ATLANTA (April 2011) – Kleber & Associates (KA&), an integrated marketing agency specializing in home and building brands, plans to celebrate Earth Day by lending a helping hand to a local park. It’s become an annual event for the 24-year-old agency to participate in a volunteer activity that benefits the planet and local area.

“Being ‘green’ is no longer a trend, but rather a lifestyle we all need to adopt,” said Steve Kleber, president and founder of K&A. “Our clients are doing it, and it’s a consideration we are all faced with on a daily basis. It’s important, then, for us to actively participate in environmentally friendly habits on a regular basis.”

This year, the K&A team will volunteer with Heritage Sandy Springs, working with its horticulturist, Jen Yavorsky, to clean up certain areas of the park. A main goal for the day involves cleaning up a specific area to be more inviting to park guests. The K&A team, along with a few client partners from LG Hausys and Nichiha, will remove leaves, sticks and weeds, install plantings and pine straw, and place stones to be used as a pathway.

“We don our grungy jeans and sneakers, along with our green K&A ‘Green Team’ T-shirts, and really make a day of it,” said Kleber. “I live in Sandy Springs, and our company is based here, so we feel both a sense of duty and pride to help out in the local community where we can.”
