(openPR) - The 'Europa-Sportregion' has already got the most important ingredients ready for a successful 'holiday dish': a good pinch of sun and plenty of powder snow. There is just one other element still missing to make a tasty leisure menu - party from the mountain tops down to the valley. The 'dish' will finally be served from 24th March onwards when Zell am See and Kaprun invite you to join the traditional 'Sun, Snow & Party Week'! The 'get-into-a-good-mood treat' is being served in seven courses - until 31st March everyone in the Alpine paradise will be in exceptionally high spirits. A jam-packed programme of events will take good care of that.
The absolute highlight of the party week is the performance of Texas Lightning. The quintet from Germany with its Australian singer Jane Comford has been a well-known feature in the international musical scene ever since they took part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Their album 'Meanwhile, back at the Ranch' sold 100,000 times and thus won gold. The single 'No No Never' even achieved platinum. With their hits, the group has even managed to work its way into the hearts of 'real' Texans: since 2006 the band members can enjoy being honorary citizens of the American federal state of Texas.
On 29th March Texas Lightning is bringing its pithy country sounds to Zell am See-Kaprun now. There is a 'big saddlebag full of songs' among the combos luggage, as guitarist Jon Flemming Olsen revealed. Fast hillbilly numbers and emotional Western ballads are bound to get the audience at the valley station of the Areitbahn cable car into a real party mood. The same will surely be true for the great Ö3 Disco that takes place in Kaprun just one day later. DJ and radio presenter Alexander List is turning the tables there. He is going to put on the very best that the charts can currently offer and also some of the classics of musical history. Until the early hours of the morning Salzburger Platz square will be turned into a giant dance floor.
The party mood is going to reach every corner of Pinzgau: the inns and mountain huts of the region are also fully tuned to the good mood. They are going to offer their guests lots and lots of specials. The 'Europa-Sportregion' itself has combined an extra package that gets you to the region quite fast and at a favourable price: seven days at the 'Sun, Snow & Party Week' in Zell am See-Kaprun are to be had from 342 euros. With their ski pass for Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe visitors can once more fully enjoy the extensive pistes at the end of the winter season then.
