(openPR) - Hannover, 4 April 2011 – Delta Electronics, the world’s leading power management and thermal management solutions provider, will showcase its most up-to-date energy-saving industrial automation solutions, including frequency inverters, energy regeneration units, controllers, human machine interfaces, motion control, machine vision, and industrial power supplies at the Hannover Messe 2011 trade show, This year, Delta Electronics integrates its products, programs and systems and demonstrates several effective solutions and applications at Booth A49, Hall 11.

Delta Machine Vision Demo
A rotary disc with a FireWire 1394 high-speed digital camera, the Delta Machine Vision Demo simulates the visual quality inspection process on a production line by capturing clear images of moving objects. “Samples comparison”, “quantity counting”, “ dimension measurement” and “scratch marks” take only one pass to fulfil the total inspection requirement. The built-in camera flash is triggered at fixed times and operates synchronously with two cameras, which reduces the hardware cost spent on flash controllers and machine vision.

Rotary Flying Shear Cut Control System
This system combines the Delta C2000 series frequency inverters and the C2000 synchronous control card EMC-SMC01. The Rotary Flying Shear Cut Control System executes precise cuts in the desired length and drive the rotary shear tools and equipments base at different line speeds with position synchronization control. Sheet and tube material cutting is performed under no lag, no speed deceleration and uninterrupted material supply conditions. This solution is suitable for production lines that perform packaging, affixing and printing of metals, steel tubing, PVC pipes, corrugated paper, films and all types of electronics materials.

Delta Electronic Cam Solutions
Delta Electronic Cam Solutions integrate an electronic cam (e-Cam) into the ASDA-A2 series servo systems for master-slave and synchronous control adding great value to this series servo system. There are three E-Cam applications shown in the demo kit: the synchronous conveyor, rotary cut, and flying shear. The synchronous conveyor operates two carts that always meet at the same place regardless of the master speed. The rotary cut supports many features such as: printed mark tracking cutting, adjustable cutting length, variable relative zero speed zone, and a masking feature on the photo sensor. The flying shear can be set to cut any length just by changing its parameters inside a servo drive.

Dice Positioning and Dots Detecting Machine
This machine adopts the DMV-1000A series machine vision system which features a high-speed digital camera to capture dice location and communicate it to the DVP-PM series professional motion controller. After receiving the captured dice location, the DVP-PM series starts multi-axis interpolation through G-Code and M-Code programming and commands the ASDA-A2 series AC servo system to precisely position and control the dice. If a DOP-B series human machine interface is used, the DMV-1000A series can detect the dots on the dice and immediately display the result on the touch screen.

Three-Axis Control System
The Three-Axis Control System is a 3-axis demo kit using three C2000 frequency inverters to perform the point-to-point position control of three axes. An additional host control such as a PLC or PC is no longer necessary. A ping pong ball can be precisely placed into a designated position simply by setting one of the C2000 as the CANopen Master and using the internal PLC functions for real-time control of the position of the 3-axis motors. The CANopen communication control directs the action of the three frequency inverters. This live demo promises to be one of the most interesting displays of the tradeshow.

Building Automation Solutions
Building Automation Solutions integrates Delta’s industrial automation products to provide a complete building control system, including air-conditioning, elevators, solar power collection, waste water recycling, and more. Delta Industrial Automation will show visitors the most effective, energy-saving building automation solutions on the market today.
