Press release from: TTR World Snowboardtour
PR Agency: TTR World Snowboard Tour
(openPR) - Livigno, Italy. TTR FOUR(4)STAR event, the 2nd Edition Budweiser Budriders’ Riverjump, set the scene for Yale Cousino (USA) to display his Slopestyle skills blowing the field away to win the contest title and 700 TTR Ranking Points at Livigno, Italy, 8th -10th March, 2007.
Set in one of Europe’s best Slopestyle parks, built with top Italian craftsmanship, the Mottolino Livigno snowpark consisted of one car to slide/to bonk, two rails – a down-flat-down rail and Budweiser A- Frame Rail; three perfectly-shaped kickers, including a 20-metre long version; one hip and a huge kicker.
Saturday’s Budweiser Budriders’ Riverjump Slopestyle Final took place under mixed weather conditions with a 20-man field. It was Yale Cousino (USA) who took first place with a solid run consisting of a frontside-boardslide-to-1080 on the 20-metre long kicker, an Indy Air on the hip, into Cab 9 on the last kicker. He took away the event title and 3,000euro cash. Cousino (USA) also dominated the challenging night rail session winning the best trick contest and 10,000 euros with a backside 1080 on the starting kicker, frontside-boardslide on the flat rail over the River Spoel and frontslide-blunt 270 out on the final down rail.
Ville Uotila (FIN) claimed 2nd place with a worthy run consisting of a 50-50 on first rail, backside 900 on the 22-metre kicker and switch Indy air on the hip. Sami Saarenpää (FIN) made podium 3rd with a 50/50 on the kinked rail, backside 540 and sweet Cab 1080 to finish.
“For my first time in Europe, I’m here in Livigno for the Budriders’ River Jump. It was the Slopestyle Contest this morning and I ended first, so I’m super stoked. There was a really good course and it was fun. I’m going to Vermont in a few days for the Slopestyle Qualifications of the TTR SIX(6) STAR Burton US Open.” quoted an ecstatic Cousino (USA).
‘It was the best event so far because it was a really good show. Cousino made unbelievable runs, and showed excellent technical performance. We are super stoked with the event.’ stated Pietro Colturi, Budweiser Budriders’ Riverjump organizer.
