Press release from: DocuSource of NC, LLC
PR Agency: Articulon
RTP, N.C. (March 16, 2011) ― DocuSource of NC (docusourceofnc.com), a Triangle-based integrated marketing solutions provider, is sponsoring the 2011 Dine Out For Kids® Durham event on March 22. Proceeds fund Community In Schools of Durham programs aimed at empowering youth to stay in school and succeed in life.
“A solid education is imperative for our children to become the leaders of tomorrow,” says Kathy Murchison, DocuSource president and CEO. “We are proud to support Communities In Schools as it provides students with support while also helping to reduce dropout rates.”
Dine Out For Kids Durham will feature 24 participating restaurants who will donate a portion of their day’s sales to CIS Durham. Diners are asked to wear red and eat at one of the participating restaurants on March 22. A complete list of restaurants is available at: www.cisdurham.org/dofk.html.
“DocuSource has been an incredible support for Dine Out For Kids and CIS Durham,” says Tracie Miller, CIS Durham development director. “Their donation keeps our costs down and allows 100 percent of restaurant and sponsor donations to go back to the kids we serve.”
DocuSource consistently donates its time, services and funds to help improve the quality of life for Triangle residents. In addition to its support of CIS Durham, the company has supported more than 20 organizations, including Girls on the Run, Be Active North Carolina, Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, Meals on Wheels, SPCA, Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, the Women’s Center of Wake County and the Raleigh and Durham Rescue Missions.

About Communities In Schools of Durham:
Established in 1992, Communities In Schools (CIS) of Durham, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been a leader in championing the use of “evidence-based” programs to reduce the dropout rate and help kids succeed in life. Evidence-based programs rely on quantifiable data (including academic research, data collection and analysis, and model fidelity) that attests to their effectiveness. In essence, CIS of Durham wants to make sure that our programs truly work – by implementing programs that are backed by respected research studies; CIS of Durham is able to determine the best ways to reduce the dropout rate in Durham.
CIS of Durham does more than implement effective dropout prevention programs – we also work to bridge the gap between the needs of today’s young people and existing resources that can help meet those needs. By forming partnerships with local corporations, human service agencies, faith communities, civic groups, and individual volunteers, CIS of Durham connects children and families with the resources and relationships they need to be successful.
