(openPR) - Latest update also optimizes connectivity to Atlassian’s JIRA & Greenhopper

Graz, March 16, 2011 – Onepoint Software, the leading provider of integrated project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions today announced the availability of Update 1 to their Onepoint Project Enterprise Cloud service version 10.2. The new release provides a number of key extensions to support project planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting according to the IPMA/PMI specifications. In addition, the new software version provides enhanced JIRA and Greenhopper connectivity, developed based on feedback from early customers of Onepoint’s new JIRA Connector Option (JCO).

Tailored for IPMA/PMI project managers
Standard project management extensions include a radically re-designed, interactive, multi-level work breakdown structure (WBS) that makes it even easier to create clear project plans. The new update also improves the earned value (EV) charts by adding actual value visualization. Both the effort and cost-based EV calculations have also been optimized for performance, especially for ensuring maximum scalability for multi-project EV-based trend bar overviews. In addition, Onepoint Project 10.2 Update 1 rounds up its IPMA standard reports project order, project progress and project closure by adding more information pieces. With these changes Onepoint Software is executing on requirements voiced by key customers.
Also based on the feedback from early customers of Onepoint’s new JIRA Connector Option (JCO), overall JIRA connectivity has been further improved and optimized. The JCO allows integrating JIRA projects and product backlogs seamlessly into Onepoint’s multi-project management and resource utilization planning. With its Greenhopper plug-in JIRA is a leading issue tracking system and also one of the most widely used agile project management tools. The next release of the JIRA Connector, expected to be available in late spring 2011, will again add new core functionality to the JCO by supporting real-time synchronization of JIRA time tracking information. Atlassian, the vendor of JIRA, has recently also reviewed and approved the real-time component of the JCO for their well-known “Plug-in Exchange”, thus providing their customers with easier access to the Onepoint Project Connector for JIRA.

“Onepoint Project 10.2 has been our most successful release to date”, said Gerald Aquila, founder and CEO of Onepoint. “Both the real-time JIRA integration and the focus on integrated agile and standards-based project management is currently unique in the PM space. With this new update we are taking these to the next level.”
