Kutas-Kozmapuszta, 14 März 2011. The only Hungarian member of the luxury Relais & Châteaux collection had all causes on weekend to celebrate. With the prosperous opening weekend was definitely shown, how much the team of Hertelendy is welcome the guests.
Head chef Richard Nussel spoiled his guests with different culinary delectations and an exzellent 8 course gourmet menu, which were chaperoned by live-music. As a special highlight counted on Saturday the sightseeing flight with an AutoGyro, which became not lastly trough James Bond a special image, too. For all those, who did not want to get up adventurous in the air, had the possibility to relax by an holitic massage.
A real chocolate enriched surprise was the chocolates-course on Sunday afternoon, which waits one way or another with a sweet secret.

But also every beautiful weekend has his end but before it goes directly back home, guests had the chance to get becharmed by a carriage ride in the beautiful Somogy landscape, in the sense of the castle hotel Hertelendy.

Relais & Châteaux Hertelendy Kastély***** is a real luxury hideaway in the heart of the Somogy Hills. Surrounded by a landscaped park and 220 kilometers from Budapest, the castle was built by the wealthy Andor Hertelendy in the early 1920's. Currently in Swiss ownership, the homely atmosphere of the five-star hotel mansion is paired with refined elegance.

Guests can book 14 rooms in the castle and 6 additional apartments in the Hunter's Lodge. The castle park offers a wide variety of sports: riding, tennis, Olympic skeet and a golf putting green. All a reminder of the aristocratic traditions that characterize the former life of the castle. Another true speciality of the house is the original Finnish sauna with wood heating in the park: our Kelo sauna. Hertelendy Kastély is the first in Hungary to offer the exclusive products of Ligne St. Barth for body and facial treatments, a favorite of stars imported from the Caribbean.

Nature also enjoys luxury in Hertelendy Kastély: green energy sources are used to the max. The heating of the castle and hot water for the pools and bathrooms are provided by the 55 degree hot thermal well, so that the building produces no carbon-dioxide.

The castle is located in Kutas-Kozmapuszta, between Kaposvár and Nagykanizsa, 50 kilometers from Lake Balaton. The nearest international airports are Graz, Vienna, Budapest and Fly Balaton. Guests arriving by private airplane can use the private landing field directly on the premises. Furthermore there is a heliport with hangar.
