Kamal Haasan launches Best of Tamil Cinema book in Chennai

Chennai, India: The Best of Tamil Cinema: 1931 to 2010 by G. Dhananjayan, the most-awaited book from Galatta Media, was launched by versatile actor Padma Shree Dr. Kamal Haasan in Chennai recently.

'The Best of Tamil Cinema: 1931 to 2010' was launched by 'Ulaga Nayagan' Kamal Haasan at an event organized by Galatta Media on March 2nd, 2011 at the Green Park Hotel, Chennai and attended by the who's who of the film industry. The attendees included famous actors like Supreme Star Sarathkumar, Sivakumar, Parthiban and directors Mahendran, Balu Mahendra, K. Bhagyaraj, Vasanth, Cheran, Thangar Bachan, Lingusamy, Selvaraghavan, Ameer, Karu Palaniappan and Mysskin. All film personalities who participated in the launch felicitated the efforts of G. Dhananjayan and Galatta Media in bringing out the book. An audio visual presentation on each decade of Tamil Cinema was also screened at the event.

While speaking at the event, Actor Kamal Haasan said, "Hard work shows and I loved the AV as I was present in the second half. I hope to be a part of the third volume of the book in the coming years". He also went on to praise Galatta Media for putting it all together and releasing this landmark publication.
