Mellin and XTEL again partners for excellence in baby food

The division of the Danone group reconfirms its confidence in the vendor of specialized solutions by adopting the modules for managing customer plans and monitoring points of sale

Mellin has been using the Sales Agreement module to manage agreements with trade customers since 2008, when the company became part of the international giant Danone, and has once again decided to rely on XTEL for the management of its sales processes in the consumer goods world.
Mellin is specialized in homogenized foods and food products for babies aged 0 to 36 months, fruit of the constant work of the Mellin Research Centre, which boasts about 250 experts in the realms of nutrition, dietology, paediatrics, technology and toxicology, divided among four different specialized research centres geared toward the development of scientific innovations that can be used to provide babies with milk and weaning products designed to satisfy their needs in all stages of growth. The products widely present in stores throughout the country include various types of growing up milk, specific meals for different times of the day (breakfast and dinner baby foods), broths, processed cheese and Mellinino snack products.
The project launched with XTEL will involve implementing the Sales Planning module, to be used by the sales force to manage about 20 customer plans, and implementing the Sales Execution module, a solution for monitoring points of sale with 15 “in-store managers”.
