Print Audit® Employees Go Above & Beyond for Local Charity
Press release from: Print Audit
(openPR) - Print Audit® staff collected over 400 items, raised $300 and volunteered 74 hours for the Calgary Drop-In Centre.
CALGARY, ALBERTA (March 3, 2011) – In the winter months, it is easy to hibernate indoors and wait out the cold until signs of spring start to appear. However, the employees of Print Audit® found a more constructive way of spending their winter days; giving their time and resources to a local charity, the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre (The DI).
For the last 50 years, the DI has provided those in need with food, shelter, clothing, counselling, education, support, employment and medical assistance, and rehabilitation.
“Print Audit is a wonderful example of how individuals and corporations can come together and make a difference at the DI,” said Louise Gallagher, Director, Public Relations & Volunteer Services at the DI. “Along with the energy, time and resources they bring, the Print Audit staff have lifted the spirits of everyone.”
In a three month period, Print Audit’s employees were able to collect over 400 items ranging from winter clothing to personal hygiene products to help the clients of the DI. They also donated $300 to help the DI with regular operations and holiday events, which include a Christmas meal, holiday wish list, and stockings filled with everyday essentials.
Through the months leading up to the DI’s busiest holiday season, Print Audit employees volunteered a total of 74 hours. The company encouraged employees to spend an afternoon during business hours to volunteer at the DI prepping food and sorting donations. However, many employees went beyond expectations by going to the DI on their weekends and evenings.
“I am very happy to be part of a company that encourages its employees to give back to the community,” says Lynn Strocen, Print Audit’s Office Manager. “The team at Print Audit really demonstrated the company’s core value of support, not just for the DI but for each other in the pursuit to better their community.”

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
Gabriele Ketterl,Director Marketing & PR, Menads
