Munich, March 3, 2011 – Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, nominated Dr. Maren Martens, Vice President Optimization & Consulting at Axxom Software AG, as Provider Pro to Know in the supply chain industry. The renowned magazine honors Dr. Martens as thought-leader in the supply chain industry, helping companies to cope with actual challenges in logistics and supply chain management.

Dr. Martens was recognized for her successful work at Axxom as well as for her outstanding research activities on network optimization. At Axxom, as Vice President Consulting & Optimization she is responsible for several international supply chain optimization projects. With her long lasting experience and know-how in network optimization she and her team helped numerous customers to design their supply chain lean and efficient, so that they were able to realize significant saving potentials and to increase their supply chain performance.

In addition, Dr. Maren Martens is responsible for several research projects with established organizations and universities and thus significantly helped to further develop Axxom’s supply chain and logistics optimization software ORion-PI®.
