World Islamic Finance Conference – reveals challenges and opportunities of Islamic Finance expansion
Press release from: Fleming Gulf
(openPR) - Global Islamic Finance is growing tremendously (20% annually). Islamic Finance products are progressively moving to the mainstream, becoming increasingly competitive with conventional financial products.
This rise up questions on how to develop Islamic Money Markets; how to facilitate liquidity management by Central Banks; need for deep knowledge about regulatory challenges of Islamic Finance in UK and Continental Europe or what are the predictions and conditions for Islamic Retail Banking expansion in Europe.
Speaking on their participation, Raja Teh Maimunah, Bursa Malaysia, Global Head, Islamic Markets commented:
"Bursa Malaysia is proud to be the Gold Partner of WIFC London and are pleased to share our experiences on Islamic Capital Markets development and insights into the indutsry as the only Exchange with an Islamic markets framework and product offering. It is our hope to establish cross border connectivity to facilitate greater access by investors worldwide to Shariah compliant products, encourage product development/enhancement and diversity, price transparency and improved liquidity. It is believed that this conference will push forth some thoughts in this area."
Dr. Mohammed Farooq, Head of Centre – Islamic Finance at BIBF commented “BIBF is a global leader in providing training and service to the Islamic finance industry. The Centre for Islamic Finance, as the 2008 and 2009 Global Award winner as the Best Islamic Finance Training Institution sees synergies with the WIFC, who are playing a vital role in facilitating partnership building among industry participants. These synergies made it clear that being the exclusive Global Education Partner for WIFC was warranted”.
Dr. Farooq added “In light of the WIFC theme, there will be a presentation on “Islamic Finance: The Next Wave”. London as WIFC’s choice of venue is highly relevant in giving a boost to not only Islamic finance in the UK, but the doorstep to Europe and beyond. With our close interaction with the Islamic finance industry, we are committed and well placed in providing Islamic Finance insight based on integration of knowledge and practical experience.”
World Islamic Finance Conference is designed to be a center of knowledge and latest updates within industry. Key topics to be discussed are about the Regulatory challenges in the UK and Continental Europe, Drivers of sustainable growth; Insights into relationship of Shari’ah and European law; Expanding Islamic Retail Banking, Sukuk, liquidity Management. As a Special feature of this event is Open Fatwa Session where renowned scholars and Charity organizations will answer questions from participants.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
