From Cop, to Incarceration, to "Super" actor, Don Mac makes his big screen debut as Mr. Range in the new hit movie "Super".

In the summer of 1998, the New Orleans Police Department was in the middle of reform after years of corruption and mismanagement (as reported By Dean M. Shapiro truetv.com). That's when Don Mac (AKA Nathaniel Johnson) decided to join the force to make a difference in the community and to pursue his dream of one day opening is own recording studio. Two years after being assigned to the streets of the French Quarter, Don suffered a severe knee injuring while running down a crowded Bourbon Street to a (officer needs assistants) call.

He was then placed on desk duty at police headquarters with a lot of time to think about his future, should he return to the streets, or finally open that recording studio he always dreamed about. With $10,000 in his pension fund Don decided to cash out and open Boss Town Studios. After 5 years of producing and recording albums, Don didn't see the financial reward he had hoped for by owning his own business and slipped into a spell of depression.

Hoping that smoking marijuana would help, Don left a late night recording session with a quarter ounce of marijuana in his van and was pulled over by the same police department he once worked for, according to court documents. He tried talking his way out of an arrest by explaining to the officers that he use to be a NOPD officer but they did not believe him and arrested him for possession of a controlled substance. (Case# 455-935 Sect. M5 Orleans Parish Criminal District Court). Weeks later Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and destroyed the studio along with the rest of the Gulf Coast. By then Don was out and was trapped by the flood waters for 3 days on the second floor of his home until rescue crews finally found him.

He fled to Atlanta and after about 4 months returned home to rebuild. Not long after, Hollywood South began to take root and many film and T.V. projects were being produced in Louisiana. Don decided to get into acting and landed his first speaking roll on the 2010 season 5 of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" episode 99 "Gene Gets Punked"were Don plays "Kiss's" road manager. Things were starting to look up and Don got a call to audition for the movie "Super". Director James Gunn then cast him to play the part of drug lord "Mr Range" opposite Kevin Bacon and Liv Tyler. Super is due to be released in theaters April 1 2011.

Don Mac's official commemorate "Super Bowl XXXVI" police badge will be for sale/auctioned on eBay with proceeds going to The National 911Memorial and The Grammy Foundation. Auction begins March 23 if not sold.
