Tel Aviv, February 25, 2011 - Typemock (typemock.com), the leading provider and pioneer of easy unit testing solutions, announced today the results of a survey conducted among the signatories of the Agile Manifesto. The survey was conducted to assess the development of Agile methodologies since the release of the Manifesto 10 years ago. Typemock’s unit testing tools enable teams to be more Agile by promoting test driven development practices.

“The self-organization of teams and continuous improvement is still the driving force in good software development,” commented Jeff Sutherland, one of the original signatories and author of the Scrum Log Blog. “The progress we have made is to shift the mindset so that most software organizations think that Agile is a good thing. However, most of them are having trouble implementing it so we must focus on the Manifesto for another 10 years.”

According to Robert Martin, also known as Uncle Bob, in order to be Agile, you need to practice unit testing. In ‘The Land that Scrum Forgot’ he wrote, “Programmers can be significantly slowed down by bad code. A code base without tests is a mess no matter how clean it might otherwise be. Make sure they (developers) are practicing the disciplines that produce data that can be measured. You use that data to measure the quality of the code they are producing.”

“Typemock’s unit testing tools enable Agile development,” commented Eli Lopian, Typemock’s founder and CEO. “Typemock’s flagship product – Isolator, enables developers to easily write unit tests, as part of Test Driven Development. It allows the developer to continue enjoying the speed of Agile without being slowed down by a large codebase. This provides improved code coverage, reduces bugs and results in a faster time to market.”

“As a company, we operate according to Agile methodology,” continued Eli. “This is the best way for us to communicate as a team and to achieve our results and we are delighted to be able to help other developer teams start on their Agile path.”

The survey was conducted by Typemock in advance of the 10th anniversary of the Agile Manifesto. Typemock’s tools enable agile development through making unit testing easy. Isolator supports the easy unit testing of Silverlight, WCF, and all other .NET and C++ technologies.
