HMS Software's Excel timesheets to TimeControl Solutions Portal
Press release from: HMS Software
(openPR) - HMS Software, a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions, has announced the availability of a new Solutions portal for those organizations currently using Excel-based timesheets and considering migrating to a full-service timesheet solution. The portal includes multiple resources to assist organizations in evaluating and planning their timesheet migration.
"Thousands of organizations design their first timesheet in Microsoft's Excel," explains Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS Software. "It's a natural fit. Excel is easy to use and there are many free templates to get started quickly. However as the organization grows, maintaining that Excel timesheet becomes more and more challenging. TimeControl is ideally suited for those organizations that have outgrown their Excel-based timesheet and need a full timesheet application."
The new portal page contains new information and resources that will help organizations in evaluating TimeControl and planning the migration from an Excel-based timesheet system. Among the resources included are:
A webcast showing the benefits of moving from Excel timesheets to a full timesheet system such as TimeControl and when to determine it's time to make the move. The webcast also shows a demonstration of TimeControl in action and highlights the ease and familiar of migrating from an Excel-based system
A PowerPoint presentation showing Excel-based timesheet templates and the benefits of moving an organization to TimeControl
A 4-page factsheet describing the difference of an Excel-based timesheet and TimeControl
Other resources and links to the free TimeControl trial site.
"We've assembled the resources of the new Excel to TimeControl Solutions area to respond to questions we answer on a daily basis," explains Stephen Eyton-Jones, HMS Software's Director of Technical Services. "Growing organizations are likely to have started with Excel and at a certain size; it makes economic sense to move to a full-service timesheet. TimeControl's ability to import and export directly from Excel and to produce its reports in Excel format makes the transition that much easier and faster."
TimeControl is designed as a multi-purpose timesheet which has helped it become one of the world's most popular timesheet systems. It is able to deliver time and attendance, time and billing, job costing and project time within the same interface, eliminating the need for multiple timesheet systems within the same organization. TimeControl is often used both for good governance within the organization as well as for government compliance such as R&D tax credit tracking, DCAA compliance, ARRA tracking as well as HR, Payroll, project management and more.
The new Solutions Portal Moving from Excel to TimeControl is available at no charge at www.timecontrol.com/solutions/excel.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
Gabriele Ketterl,Director Marketing & PR, Menads
